The recorder is an excellent starting instrument for young children, with an emphasis on learning to play and learning to read music notation. It naturally leads to any instrument. Some children choose to stay on recorder and enjoy learning the larger treble, and playing in the Recorder Consort.
We recommend children 6 years and older to start our recorder classes.
