Description
The smallest of the string family, the violin is an ideal instrument for students aged 7 and older. Students learn to read music in these classes.
Anyone younger than 7 who wishes to learn the violin should join our Listen and Learn Violin classes at our George School Normal School centre.
We recommend hiring an instrument from us rather than supplying your own for young students. The benefit of hiring a string instrument from us is that we can provide fractional sizes, so that your child will always be using the instrument that is the optimal size for them. As they grow, we exchange your hired violin for a larger size. In addition we provide shoulder rests when required, and also provide new strings when one breaks, as can happen. We also undertake repairs of the bow, violin or case if needed.
ANNUAL FEES:
Primary Division: $125 voluntary contribution
Open Division: $420
Instrument Hire: $125 (all sizes available)
